Maybe, most of you were disappointed when Android 4.2 Jelly Bean was announced, because you’re all expecting that the update is the much anticipated Key Lime Pie. As we all know, Google follows an alphabetical pattern after yummy desserts to name its OS versions. So we’re pretty sure and looking forward that Key Lime Pie is the name of the next Android OS version.
Today, Manu Cornet a Google employee, specifically from the Gmail team, posted a cartoon illustration showing how the Android OS evolved. If you can still remember your history subject, Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution of human, that’s how Manu illustrated the evolution of Android green robot.
See what the last droid is eating after the Jelly Bean, it’s actually a pie! And this may confirm that the next Android version is really the Key Lime Pie. However, Manu Cornet said that he only drew this for fun, and as I said earlier, he’s part of the Gmail team, not from Google’s mobile side.
So, we all have to wait until May next year to see what Google has on its sleeves. I’ll keep you posted.
